W8-Ben Form

Hello,

I know others have had issues getting their W8 forms processed. I’m wondering how long it took for those that have had success. I originally heard back from the department about 2 weeks after submitting my form. I had to go back and forth 4 times with them to get it filled out correctly. During that responses were fast (within a few days). Once I finally got it correct they stopped responding. I saw it could take upwards of 4 weeks to process but its now been 4 MONTHS and still nothing. I’m starting to get quite frustrated by this. The items I have up are doing quite well and I have a significant amount of money in my account just waiting. I’m hesitant to grow my shop before getting paid. Any advice?

There are delays happening this time. This is my third renewal, if I remember correctly, and it is normal — there are always delays. This time, even the confirmation receipts have not arrived by email. I have never managed to get it approved on the first attempt, even using the same information and wording every time, which I always find curious. All that is left is to wait; we cannot change their timelines, even if it is frustrating.
