Right out of the gate: I talked with CS already and it’s getting fixed, I’m not seeking help with that.
But I am ripping my hair out trying to figure out how this happened to begin with, so I can try to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
I designed some mini calling cards for my Etsy store.
Once I was satisfied with my design, I grabbed a screenshot to show a friend of mine, then I clicked ‘Add to Cart’, and then - all still without leaving the page or changing anything - I immediately clicked on ‘Sell it!’ and published a copy, hidden, to My Products, so I can order more later.
Well, I just received the cards. The main text, my Etsy store name, the font box had been made much smaller, making the text inside 3 pts smaller (a big difference when it’s from 11 down to 8..) and the last letter of the first word had kicked down to another line by itself. As a result of *that*, the following line had also been shoved way down.
The preview on my actual order page shows the messed up version, so I suppose I should have caught it there, but I had no reason to be looking closely. I highly doubt a customer would think to make sure the design hadn’t changed, either.
Both the screenshot I took just before ordering, and the copy in My Products, have the correct layout.
I am utterly baffled. All the CS agent could offer was ‘the changes weren’t saved’. But I hadn’t made any changes.
Anyone have any idea what could have happened?
