i just get it from the IRS site? how do i know which one to fill out?
CreativeDesign is, I believe, in the UK where they have to fill out W-8 forms, but in the U.S., you’re free of this. Once a year in February, Zazzle sends you a 1099 report that lists your earnings and that you’re supposed to report on your income taxes. Any annual income under $600 doesn’t have to be reported, but Zazzle sends the 1099’s to everyone regardless. In other words, there’s absolutely nothing you need do other than design and publish your products.
thank you so much here i was looking at forms
According to my tax person, under $600 doesn’t have to be reported if it’s your only income. If your total income (from other sources) is reportable, then you have to report your zazzle earnings also. ** just googled it and came up with this " Independent contractors must report all income as taxable, even if it is less than $600. Even if the client does not issue a Form 1099-MISC, the income, whatever the amount, is still reportable by the taxpayer." … here’s info from the IRS - https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-news/fs-07-26.pdf
I’ll be darned. I stand totally corrected. The IRS would look at the aggregate. It’s the nature of the beast. Of course, if a person makes no more than $600 a year, they aren’t even filing taxes because they’re living on the street or in prison.
