What to do with long forgotten products?

Hi, 

I have quite a few products that were last seen a long time ago, and I wonder what to do with them. Apparently having these in a shop affects it. But I was also told not to delete products that were sold (even if only once), as it could bring the Z rank down. So, I hid them. However, I am still not sure if that is a good solution. I don´t really like these designs anymore, and they have had just a few views, so the easiest would be to get rid of the al together. What are your thoughts on this matter?

If you no longer like the designs, they no longer fit your brand, or they no longer reflect your current skill level, I would delete them. That’s what I do.

Lately Zazzle has been showing, and I am selling some things from 10 years ago that I forgot all about.  The Zazzle bot has also been rotating through all my stores.  Normally just a few get sales.  So, my advice would be just leave things as they are. I am not making more sales, just different sales.  This happens from time to time.  I may have a best seller for a while, then, nothing.  So my advice would be to just concentrate on making and not worry about deleting things.

If people are still buying them and like them I would leave them.

My two cents is it’s a judgment call, but here are a few thoughts:

– If an old design with few or no sales has an issue, e.g. text not in a template or not aligned right, then delete or redo it. It’s not worth the risk of customer dissatisfaction or a bad review.
– If an old design still appeals to you, then consider tweaking some keywords or title or posting a fresh pin for it.
– If you don’t like an old design, and it doesn’t have sales, it’s a grayish area. If it doesn’t fit your store’s style anymore or sticks out, consider hiding or deleting it. Otherwise, you might want to keep it just in case. I’ve been surprised lately by old designs that I don’t particularly like selling.

Also I wanted to add when I had old products that I didn’t like anymore and that didn’t fit into my current store, I removed them from the Collection they were in and deleted them.
