When you receive many views but no sales what is your approach?

When you receive many views of an item but no sales what is your approach? Do you do anything about that or do nothing? What your thoughts about this phenomenon?:tulip:

If you get a lot of views and no sales, it means you are not meeting the customer’s needs. So in my case, I improve my designs. For me, that means I ask my Zazzle coach for help.

@CrazyMermaid   Do you have someone specifically who coaches you?

So you got customers to click on your design. That’s good news. But why did they click on your product, inspect it further, and then click away? Are your templates working properly? Are template fields enabled? Did you leave enough space for long names (or long strings of text) to be added? Did you leave enough room in the text template or design to accommodate descending characters like “y” or “g?” If it’s not your design (and it was good enough for customers to click on it), then it was a different issue. Your SEO and title are working, since you have views. Maybe the colors or fonts are not trending or popular now. Those are the areas that I would explore first.

@Jadendreamer13   Thank you for your reply, what are templates I am not sure I know?
I wonder about reason you described too, mystery to me.

Templates are text fields you create using Zazzle’s design tool.

Thank you @Sara_H  I remembered now after reading first article what is the template, I made these in Wedding invitations and greeting cards.

@Jadendreamer13   Thank you for reminding about templates, I am yet to figure out how to create these in the new design tool, I stopped making them after new design tool came out. Wish they made these additions to mobile version. Have you figured out how to make a template in new design tool?

You turn on templates under the Selling Options in the new design tool.

@Jadendreamer13  Thank you. I will see if I can figure this out, I stopped making wedding invitations after new tool came out, it’s all jammed on my mobile, they told me it’s not suppose to be used on mobile, that’s too bad really I used the old tool on mobile without any problems at all, sigh.

It means the item is catching people’s eye, and they’re looking at it.  They’re interested.  I leave it in the store.  Now, if something gets 0 - 2 views in 12 months . . . . I re-evaluate.  Sometimes I leave it, especially for a seasonal product like a Christmas card.  Sometimes I simply like the design, it’s something I would buy, so I leave it in.  Other times, I just delete it.  If it’s not selling, and the design isn’t wowing me all that much, it probably isn’t thrilling customers, either.  It’s a gamble.  But I’d rather delete an uninteresting product than leave it in my inventory, gathering dust.

@SnowOwlMoon  Yes I absolutely can relate to that, thank you for sharing your view. I find it a good point about the little views and long time being in the store. I’ve done inventory like that before too :), even deleted the items that I simply didn’t like anymore but they were receiving a lot of views without anyone buying them. Going to check out today the little views sitting for a long time on the shelves. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I like spring cleaning and renewal of things.
