Where can I find the design area (dimensions) in the new design tool?

Hi everyone,

I’m not sure if I’m just having trouble finding this feature in the new Design Tool, or if it has actually been discontinued.

In the old Design Tool, the left sidebar displayed all the information about the product you were designing, including the exact dimensions of the printable area (for example, the dimensions of the rectangle where the artwork would be printed on a T-shirt).

Zazzle may not consider this a big deal since you can create and edit your designs directly in their tool, but I also use Photoshop and Illustrator to create the artwork itself, only adding customizable text in Zazzle so customers can personalize it.

For me, those dimensions were extremely useful—I’d even say essential.

Can anyone help me? Or am I going to have to keep guessing the dimensions?

Hi catinarezi,

I’m thinking this is what I would do, since the design tool has changed, and the product descriptions are on the “customer side” now, instead of inside, like it used to be. Maybe try going to this page: https://www.zazzle.com/sitemap and click around to find what products you’re working with. Or better yet, if you’ve already designed on a particular product…just look at the Zazzle descriptions there.
This all depends too on if you’re using a desktop version, or a mobile version too. I think with mobile versions it can be slightly different, however, that’s really where I’d look is on any product, before going into the design tool, ultimately. Find the product, get the info needed, then design in the tool.
