I’ve noticed this on several products; I can’t turn on the transparent background with the little squares, because the slider under Settings is grayed out. I always had that option available in the old tool, so it’s not a case of not being able to turn on features that were turned off in the old design tool.
How are you coming up with these selection buttons. Where are you at in the design tool?
Under SETTINGS (gear at bottom of space) I see the three you show (plus more) All of them are active.
Perhaps it is your product that does not allow the Transparency to be active???
Weird. I haven’t seen that. What product are you working on? (card, t-shirt, poster, etc.) Is it the same for all the design areas in the product? Does the pattern hold for that product across the board or is it just one design?
This particular one is a wine label, but I’ve been having this problem on other products also. I don’t know if it’s ALL products or not.
It’s under the settings. Yes, I have more options there, but this particular one is the only one that’s grayed out.
Well, I just looked at one of my wine labels, and I’m seeing the same thing - the transparency option is grayed out:
I looked around a bit and I do have the transparency option on posters, invitations, menus, pedestal signs, bookmarks, gift bags, business cards, paper plates, treat bags, candles, teddy bears, candy bars and aprons. But on t-shirts, ornaments, wine labels, gift tags, banners, can coolers, golf balls, compact mirrors, and guest books the option is grayed out. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, but it seems to have something to do with the product.
It looks like on some of the products where it’s grayed out, they have an image of the product behind the artboard (t-shirts, golf balls, compact mirrors). Maybe they’re planning on doing that with other products as well? Have to say I’m not a fan of that “feature”. I find it distracting and I just think it looks bad because the mock-up behind the artboard doesn’t really convey what the finished product will look like - it just looks bad IMHO, so I wish we could turn that option off.
