I like your blue color and the image. It’s just that it’s a little hard to read the smaller text. Perhaps lighten the image or use a 50% transparency between the text and the image.

Or… get rid of the banner entirely and use a smaller font for the header. The banner takes up about a third of the page, and it really doesn’t need to.
Mentioned this before and @Scott said it was a known issue.
