Zazzle is forcing products into the "wedding" category

Yesterday I changed categories on many products that were added to the “weddings” section.

Even though this product is now in the keychain section, it still shows up when I sort my store by “wedding.”

I assume eventually it will stop showing up when I sort by the wedding section? But I am also curious how so many “coffee” designs ended up in weddings to begin with?

Wow, those aren’t even remotely related to weddings!

I just checked the first product you listed and the product page shows that it is in the Accessories/Keychains and Lanyards category. The related searches shown are “wedding shower themes” and “bridal shower gifts.”

Probably because it was in a wedding category a few days ago. I changed it to the keychain category, but it still sorts in my wedding section in the backend. I would change the text if I knew what was triggering this weirdness.

I feel your pain. I noticed this about 2 months ago, but I thought somehow I had messed it up in some type of bulk edit cluster. I had about 8000 of my 22K items in Weddings under some silly category like Bridal shower gifts.

It was painstakingly difficult to correct it b/c you have to go by item type. EVERY type of item was in there. Most party things and then everything from clothes to home decor to CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS!

Good to know it may have been someone else’s mistake. I didn’t see how I could have done THAT many by my own doing. But I’ve done worse, so…
