Nowhere in Heather’s post does the phrase “locked in” appear.
Instead, she explains that attribution depends on whether the customer clicks another referral link even within the 45-day window. What Heather Did Say About Timing “If the referred person returns within two weeks, the referrer receives credit for any qualifying sales made within 14 days of the referral link click.” This confirms a 14-day attribution window but it’s not a lock. It’s a timeframe for qualifying sales, not a guarantee against override.
