Greyed out images in media?

About half of images I’ve used previously are now greyed out due to size. They were fine when I created products. So now what happens? I can’t add new products to collection. Are these older products being deleted? If so, looks like I have to start over!

I'm sorry to hear that some of your images are greyed out due to size requirements. Are you stating that you cannot add products that have used these images previously to a collection? Can you provide a link to a product as an example in that case?

Okay -- I think I figured it out. You upped the size of the media images to 1480. The site images for categories and many of the motifs I've been using are 1080. They are grayed out if I try to use them for the Media in the new collections templates.  So while I may not lose actual products I will have to go through and redo or make new media images I want to use.  Maybe I'll just pass the media images until I can figure out the collections templates.
