Are we only allowed one line of template text? I have a design with text on the top and one on the bottom but it is only showing the bottom in the Personalize this template field? I rechecked it to insure both lines are templates and even remade it but it's only showing the bottom line. I still have it hidden because it's not right but I'm guessing you can see it. THANKS!

Doesn't appear so - at least, I have several designs with 2 text fields that are working fine..

Thanks PenguinPower. Yep, I have it hidden because it isn't allowing both text lines to show but I thought James might be able to look at from their end. I'll try again.

Hi @PAZP , sorry for the delay here. I tried to look at this for you but I can see you have since deleted the product. Were you able to get this to work the way you expected? If not, please let me know! 😁

Yes I rectified it. Thank you James.

After seeing PenguinPower's response that she was able to use multiple templates I went back and double checked my settings to see that it was my error. I somehow unchecked the template block. (embarrassing).

My first uninformed vision was of a paddle used to whack at a pickle, so I had to look it up. Apparently, pickleball has been a thing for half a century. 😄

It's HUGE at senior communities and they now show it on sports channels too.

my first encounter with the game pickleball was while perusing a flyer for an annual seniors' summer competition ... so naturally, I thought pickleball was a sport for retirees. my second thought was that it was a cross between table tennis and badminton.

Been busy all day — for sure this is a good product for Zazzle to carry and especially leading up to the holidays.

I was hit by the price of the paddle, so I did a quick search and found the paddles range in price from $20 (probably low quality) up to $200, so I guess the price here isn't bad, considering they can be customized and personalized.

This is a great addition. Thank you!

I am not finding where the customer is explicitly informed about the upcharge for a design on the 2nd side of the paddle.

There's not an alert about this on any product that has 2 printable sides.

I wonder if it would make a difference in a sale happening or not if there was a way to show this visually when something is being personalized?

One (odd) example is luggage tags. A customer can choose between styles: double-sided (custom design on both sides) or single-sided with a card slot (upcharge). I think there are more examples, this one just came to mind first.

My post was not worded very well. I guess I was thinking about options not alerts.  Anyway, I don't think I would have known about the upcharge without reading the new product announcement.

Hello Team Zazzle,

When I attempt to do a design transfer from an existing ping pong paddle to the new pickleball paddle,
entering "pickleball paddle" and "sport" pull up no results in the Custom Gifts - Create Your Own page.

Only when I type in "ball" do the three pickleball paddles (tan, white, black wraps) pull up at the bottom of the search results, but the descriptions are wrong.

Please amend these descriptions from "Pickball" to "Pickleball".

Thanks in advance!

As a pickleball player, I'm super excited to add my designs to paddles, but I'm concerned whether they are considered USAPA/USA Pickleball approved. If not, they can't be used in sanctioned tournaments. I've sent emails to the manufacturer and Zazzle without response.

This is a great question! Please let us know any responses.

I agree. And someone buying a paddle beyond the $20 beginner one would probably want more information, such as grip size and surface material.  The description calls it a "lightweight" paddle, but this one is 8 oz. which is a mid-weight. I love the idea of a customized paddle though, so I look forward to answers from the manufacturer. And I wish they would offer a lightweight version.

Hey @GreenCarbonMail,

Just checking on this now. Will get back to you as soon as possible.

What company manufactures these pickleball paddles?

These are made by our partners Hampton Technologies. 😊

Thank you, James!

Ths is something we are actually looking into and hope to have an answer soon!

Just in case you might not have seen, we have since been able to get these certified and you can even get an official stamp added to the paddle when you order. 👏

Very impressive — and significant.  I just went back to see what the generic manufacturer’s description says and that is not mentioned and think it should be.

Product update: Premium Carbon Fiber PickleBall Paddle

I think you should be aware that what I think is a wrong message is shown near the product — the same type of message when glitter is used — except in this case, I am assuming, this is a real carbon fiber being used.IMG_4301.jpeg

Hi @VivianD117 , hmm. I don't think this should not be showing if the carbon option has been selected. I can't seem to get this message on screen though, can you tell me if this shows up just from selecting carbon fiber versus standard or were there other options or customization done? Thanks.

It should not be showing — here is one I designed and selected carbon option for — the message appears in two places actually — where I have screenprinted and then below near my description.  It would be very confusing to a potential customer.  It shows up when I designed and selected carbon fiber option — I don’t know how else to describe.  Perhaps we should see others that have designed specifically for carbon option.IMG_4302.jpeg

I think I just replied but can't find it -- so I'll try again.  I was away for a few hours and thought about it and then verified.  It will not show that message if you published it as Standard and then the customer selects Carbon.   It only shows if it is published as Carbon -- should we be alerted not to do and I'll go back and change the few that I've done?

Thanks, Vivian
