Kudos and Signatures - their meaning and use

I'm old (91) and enjoy creating on Zazzle. But I do miss things sometimes -- or forget them. So, I need a little help. I think I know what Kudos are but not sure what I need to do with them (those that are given to me). However, I don't understand "signatures" at all. What are they and what do I do with them? Thanks for any advice you creators out there can give me.

using a signature lets you express your personality on your posts or replies in the community forums and it can also help you promote your Zazzle stores (should you wish to include them with your signature -- think of it as a branding opportunity and a way to gain exposure online).

See mine below as an example.

The kudos basically helps keep the conversations neat. Instead of a bunch of "same here" or "I agree" or "well said" posts, we can instead give a kudos.

Someone else probably needs to answer the signature question. I've never used one here in the newer forums.

That's actually what I thought Kudos were for. Now, need someone to inform me about Signatures. I received a notification that I had a few kudos and some signatures about a recent of mine on a Discussion forum. So, not sure what to do about the signatures -- if anything. But, at least, would like to know what they mean.

Thanks, WHS_Designs. Your signature appears to be the banner for your store. And this brings up other questions. For example, how is this placed into a discussion on the Discussion Forum? Would it be as a link, such as you did in responding to my question? So, if someone put a signature on one of my discussion questions, it helps them only if I click on it and take a look. Correct? Not criticizing, just asking for info.

@LloydCain-1957 essentially, yes, yes, and yes to your questions. 🙂

it can’t hurt to reciprocate those links.

Hi, Lloyd!

Signatures aren't all that mysterious. Just like when you finish a handwritten letter or note in real life, you signed your first post here "Lloyd." Instead of manually typing "Lloyd" at the end every time you write a post, you can add your signature to your Forum profile. It will then be automatically added for you. Your signature can be as plain or as fancy as you want. Most of us add our store name(s) and social media links to advertise ourselves to the community at large.

Now actually setting up your signature can be a little more complicated. There are good directions here, and there's a forum, Testing Board, for you to try your signature out until you get it just right.

Hope this helps!

hi @LloydCain-1957. click your avatar in the top right corner (on community.zazzle.com, NOT zazzle.com) and click My Settings and then under the headline Personal, click Personal Information. the 3rd textbox down is for your signature. it's dependent on html to do anything fancy. the link @Saints_Aplenty provided is what I used to <eventually> figure out the signature you see here:
