Do not understand the break down on the money not sure about this. Is this because of the 3rd party or maybe it sold on Pinterest? I love Zazzle and enjoy making sales here but not too sure I will if my profit is cut. Is it something I'm doing wrong. Appreciate any advice. Thank you.

@Deb1  Please don't duplicate posts - you also asked this question in the Ambassador forum

the 14.9% is the royalty you have set and the 5% is an addon (you don't say what product it is so have no idea)

Zazzle now deducts a fee for the department that the product is in

If you are getting sales - you are doing nothing wrong - you will earn less than you did before 1st April (as per the new T&Cs)

Congrats on the sale!

I'm sorry don't mean to be a pain in the butt, the 5% is what? It was ribbon. Is it because of the Ambassador program? Sorry, just trying to understand the math to this. I opt backout of the Ambassador program. I was also charged the 5% in February I was not a member of the Ambassador program then. I joined the Ambassador program on May 9, 2025 and cancelled it on May 13, 2025. All I am trying to do is just make sure that I get 14.90 % for myself how do I do that. Sorry, this is just confusing and overwhelming too much to deal with just liked it like it was simple. Thank you.

I also don't understand is the 5% amount that I lost or is 5% more I will be paid for the Ambassador program just really confusing no clarification when you read it.

Thank you, please clarify for me. I do love Zazzle and enjoy it.

I read Florida Statutes for 20 years and were not as confused as reading this. It is like reading directions for a swing set could Zazzle please explain in layman's terms. Everything I read about this is confusing and if I'm confused, I'm sure other people are too.  Thank you for answering me I just need direction on how I make 14.90 percent and can move on to just enjoying creating and making sales.

The 5% add on has nothing to do with the ambassador program or how you set your royalties. It was the same before the changes in April. It is when customers change to a more expensive option.  This could be a longer ribbon or larger width than you originally created it on. In invitations they could choose a fancier paper or rounded edges for example.  You cannot change the 5% add-on, it is something that is set for everyone.

Thank you that explains it. Do you know if the Ambassador program is worth doing and how do we benefit from it everything I read about it conflicts with each other. Thank you.

Looks like they bought 2 yards of 3" ribbon (21.80) and upgraded to grosgrain fabric (+1.15).
Ribbon is in the 40% category so you earned total of $1.82 (1.79 + 0.03.)

Ribbon.jpgThis is interesting to me as it's the first time I've been able to see that the Marketing Royalty Fee applies to 5% User Options. too.

Opting out of the Ambassador program is shooting yourself in the foot. Opting out DOES NOT mean you will no longer be subject to the 3rd Party fees. Others, including Zazzle themselves, can still earn referrals on your products thus triggeing the Marketing Royalty Fee. If you opt out of the referral program it just means YOU will no longer be able to earn any referral commissions, accidentally or on purpose, on your products on anyone else's.

Thank you, I will opt back in the Ambassador program it is just so confusing wish it was clearer to understand. Again, thank you. It is still really confusing to read I hope Zazzle addresses making this clearer. I'll give it 30 days and see what the results are I can always opt back out. I don't like someone else can take profit from me that's not right.

When I upload to Pinterest on the product page (share button link) does it upload my Ambassador ID with the upload, or do I need to add it? So far, I just go to the product page click on share and send I do not add anything.  Don't know if I am going to do this much longer, I make more money on other sites. It just wrong that I have to give up what little bit I make to someone else. Not liking this at all too much work involved to be rip off by someone basically taking my profit. Not happy.

Again, opting out means that you don't earn any royalties or referrals. It does not not stop others or Zazzle from carving out the fee from your earnings. You agree to the marketing fee and being subject to affiliate marketers promoting you when you agree to the Zazzle TOS. There is no way to stop that.
