Yes, it seems that many of us are experiencing dismal sales. I've been on Zazzle for 12 years, and my Jan & Febr sales are down drastically....back to 2015 sales levels, I believe. I've always experienced an annual growth in sales (and number of products I have available), but the dive started late 2023, and seems to be getting worse, unfortunately.

Best of luck to you! I'm trying to hang in there, but have to come to a point where I'm realistic about time spent in relation to revenue earned.

@MOM fanny packs are truly life-changing! I have always despised carrying a purse, so if you only need to have a few items on your person, they are a far superior option. I bought a simple one on Amazon a few years ago for $20 or so but the ones on Zazzle have extra compartments, so might need to get one of theirs also.

I've heard mixed reviews about Temu products, they seem to be similar to WISH, though. So the quality could be sub par. You typically get what you pay for, especially with sites like those.

I never bought anything from Temu or Wish so I wouldn’t really know but I’m sure you are spot on with your assumption.

Yes, I’m going to get me a fanny pack!! And I’m going to steal your first statement for my video I’m creating right now. Because I believe you!! 😄

My guess is those ads are full of affiliate links in which Zazzle gets paid if a customer clicks on the ad and buys a product. I design on three different POD platforms and after years of sales on Zazzle it's ranked its in last place for me. I think there is something going on because I am still making sales on the other two platforms.  The other two sites don't use affiliate ads all over the place.  Pathetic.

So sad for employes's too

something happen with Zazzle ... after their upgrade and new functionality

same for me ... low sales, lack of views ...no visitors..i don't know ...

Hi @blushroses, there is no secret sauce. I just look at what I am selling and see what other products the design is suitable for and whether I can adapt the design for a different market.

I am slightly up in both January and February over my previous best results for these months. Caveat...I have put a lot more effort in to try and really boost sales for this year. Hence I am up but not by as much as I was planning.

I am working on the basis that when sales really pick up again I will be a very happy seller.

what are you improving in your shop ..please share effective

I posted a simliar question, But are we all experiencing this still ?  I have the lowest sales since opening the shop in 2009. I only have 5 sales pending, and thats it. Christmas was dismal, and its horrrible now 1 sale every 10 to 15 days maybe. So is it the economy, or does it have anything to do with the recent, "its not broke, lets fix it"  Zazzel changes ?  or both most likely.

I hear you. For the first time in years, I've just gone for an entire week without selling anything. 😑 😖 It's almost like my shop has been turned off altogether. Scary times. I've just spent all morning promoting on Pinterest, Insta, Twitter and Facebook. Hopefully it'll work (or at least help). In meantime I won't hold my breath, but what else can you do? 🤔 🤷🏻‍

I came to the community looking for this exact discussion! I have noticed my sales went down significantly this month of March. It's not that unusual for me to not sell anything in a month, however, I was doing so well for the past 2 years in 2022 and 2023. I sold the most I've ever sold. My biggest sales month was July of 2023 to which I can't quite figure out why other than it appeared people were buying their holiday items super early. I'm going to try and have holiday items ready in July of this year again in hopes there is a repeat of sales. But, over all, my shop had been at a good place and was quite a self sustaining passive income until recently. That's why I came looking for answers. It could be a number of things, but one thing I thought about first was that Zazzle was not running as many paid ads possibly? I checked out my Google Analytics and in 28 days, only 10 new users visited my store based off of Zazzle ads! That may be one of the reasons. Maybe Zazzle isn't spending as much on ads.

One thing to try is just being active in your store. Updating tags, adding product photos/videos and doing store maintenance. I've been meaning to do all of that, but haven't had the time. I also plan on focusing on the products that I sell the most of and forget about spending time creating products of things I never make a sale on. Those products seem to take up space and make it too hard for customers to find what my store is most known for. I'll report back if I see any changes in sales after I do my store maintenance. Thanks everyone! 👍

I'm reporting back! I updated a few things in my store like changed the cover photos on my collections and did some general maintenance (updating tags, and attending to products that were flagged as needing to be updated) and since then I have made 2 sales...I can't be sure if my activity contributed to that though. And I  notice on my Google Analytics that it appeared Zazzle has been running ads. So, maybe that contributed to the sales or a combination of the two. But, if anyone else has been being active in updating their stores and noticed some sales, let us know. Maybe there is something to that. Other than that, it could actually in fact be the economy 😳

My sales have picked up since my previous post (I had a very bad week, luckily for me it didn't last). I'm not a really big seller, but am always very happy (obviously!) when I do manage to get a certain number of regular sales. I always try to create a particular number of products a day AND promote a certain number, but of course with having to do collections, covers, etc. we're all spreading ourselves pretty thin these days and it's getting harder and harder to meet these goals. 😑 I've always wondered exactly what the magic formula is for boosting your SEO here at Zazzle. Not sure which would be weighted more - creation or promotion. It could be some a combination of both, but I suspect it's creating. I would LOVE to know the magic formula for this, so then you'd know you could just focus on one or the other, or at least put the majority of your time into it. Anyway, I didn't do anything all that special to start making sales again, just kept on plodding away. I do find though, if I miss consecutive days of creating it does make a difference (and not in a good way). Well, good luck to all here, and I hope sales pick up for everyone. xxx

When my sales didn't pick up in late October like they usually do for the holidays, I started to worry.  And they never picked up.  Just very sad.

Unfortunately, my sales are terrible, they almost stopped... I feel like someone pulled the rug out from under my feet when there are no sales for days, and when something does happen to sell, it's miserable... 😢I also don't know what else to do, in addition to so much work and effort,...What is the addition of traffic to stores and fluctuations? Can that have an effect or something else?

Peter222

Yea, well I do have some good news,, it seems my 3rd parties are coming back with a few sales, I was afraid they were gone somehow. It may be another 15 days for a sale, but we just gotta keep fighting.

That's awesome! Happy for you brother.

this might have something to do with the facebook sharing problem, a lot of our affiliate marketers here rely on facebook to share links.

Like everyone else here, my sales have also dropped considerably.  I'm making less now than I did when I started Zazzle back in 2009.  For me, I find that when Zazzle introduced the cover pages and videos, my sales started to drop.  It's difficult to find my products in the marketplace now compared to a couple years ago.  All I see when I open specific product pages is Editor's Choice on every product page.

I love Zazzle.  I hope whatever is happening to our sales, will be rectified soon.

Westerngirl2

It's really getting ridiculous. Their pages are full of "Editor's Picks". NONE of my Editor's Picks have resulted in sales. Some of my historical best selling products (in the hundreds of sales) can't even be found when searching by their most likely key words. What changed? Why? If your once best selling product can't even be found in the MP, dang right it's gonna slide out of visibility.

I have always loved Zazzle, but right now I have to question continuing. None of this makes sense.

All kinds of businesses are seeing a drop in sales, a major reason being the economy here and in various other countries. People ask themselves, "Do I really need to buy this bit of frippery?" My goodness, even two of the major dollar stores are in trouble. When I mentioned to my husband that I was considering quitting Zazzle, he suggested  there's no harm in staying around. However, if I were supporting the household on Zazzle income, it would be a different story.

This last week, I made a handful of sales, which gives me hope.  I am not sure what made the difference but I hope it keeps up.  I just missed the minimum to get paid via PayPal by only a few cents, very discouraging.

Yea, I finally made a couple too. They were not 3rd partys, so I still think some how, some way, my 3rd partys are not getting sales  they used to.  I dont know how, but something has changed. And my store has went from a working plan, back to a  novelty when I make a sale as it was when I first began 15 years ago. I accept that th economy is to blame to a degree, but it does not account for all our stores tanking .  Its really hard to push on, but I am gonna keep trying. I guess Z isnt missing our sales.

Same here my sales are way down in May so far only sold 2 things. So dishearting. I noticed my sales started dropping in Febuary. What is really going on with Zazzle? Wonder if they are feeling our pain,

Dba

I am sorry to hear that all, and I am also experiencing very low sales, but I am quite new to zazzle. I really started investing time and effort and money in it this march, so maybe it is too short to say if it is worth it. I bought this famous and expensive zazzle course that 2 creators are selling and promoting somehow 2 years ago, but it made no difference for me, and now I see that LeahG free courses and those cheap pdfs were better choice in terms of results. At least in my case. Maybe I was not ready for making it real. But I start to wonder if it is still worth investing time and money in zazzle. Maybe there is happening something we do not know about? Maybe Zazzle is not selling much anymore and soon it disappears from the market? I really struggle with those thoughts, but still creating and learning and hopeing that it is going to be better.

I hear you. And had/have similar thoughts. And I second you in a lot of your comments. But I’m not giving up yet, it’s too early for that. And so much kudos to Leah who always helps (in an honest way) and gives her wisdom away so freely. Tried her old site again earlier tonight but that darn human checker just wouldn’t let me in (again), gave me the runaround for ever (and I gave up) but I read her two newest articles on her new site and if you haven’t read them yet please hop on over there and do. Or better run over there because Leah gives such good advice (and again pretty much for free)!!

I'm not giving up either. Just desperately seeking for some hope, cause I just started to treat Zazzle really serious with time, effort and money, and I really hope that was not bad timing. Thank you for recommendation, I'll go and check Leah's website, love her advice too - kudos LeahG!

3 things I tried and didn't work:

1- add custom covers

2- create collections

3- add designs to new products (NONE of the designs I added to new products sold)

Strange update...I just recieved my monthly payment through PayPal, but I hadn't made the $50 threshold 🤔 I have my payments set to the regular payment method. Has Zazzle lowered the payment threshold? The information available under payments doesn't mention anything of the sort. Unless Zazzle has changed their payment policy, I worry a bit. Wonder if they are paying people out before they sell or close the company! (I apologize for jumping to conclusions. I have PTSD from all these stores closing.) 😮

Strange. I hope you are not right. I really hope if something like this would happen Zazzle would let us know little bit earlier. I know that there are some creators that really live from it. But on the other hand I notice some amazing gold accounts stopped promoting on instagram and creating new products some months ago. Maybe they know something? I know - conspiracy theory, but with those latest strange things that happen…

wow, that’s double strange! about the gold accounts. One thing I thought of is maybe those gold accounts aren’t getting many sales either and decided to focus on other revenue streams. My Google analytics was saying most of the traffic that comes to my store is from Pinterest and searches on Zazzle and google, so I began to post less promotion on Instagram as well.

Just read this article and thought I'd share. Quite interesting to say the least. But it does confirm what some of us have been saying here:

I just going to go out and say what I am sure most are thinking.  My sales are nothing the moment I read this. "🌈Attention LGBTQIA+ Creators! Let your story shine this Pride Month.🏳️‍⚧️"  Are we all equal here or not?  Every other month a group is selected and promoted.  I work hard on title, description and tags.

Hey @onshidesigns I was about to write on the same strange thing that I noticed, ever since I got this notification from Zazzle about  LGBTQIA+ Creators! Let your story shine this Pride Month ... all notifications seems to stop ! No likes, no sale, nothing .... for over last 7 days ! Is this a co-incidence ... has anyone else faced this too ?

Glade someone noticed.  I am not even trying to be anti pride month, every celebrates my birthday.
