I know commissions have decreased with the new agreement, but $0 cannot be right. These zazzle flat cards at 10% should be $0.28 or maybe even $0.14 with 3rd party. $0 is ridiculous.
This is completely unacceptable. Zazzle, please step forward and explain why the third party gets paid, but not the designer.
I don’t know what kr0 SEK++ is, but could it be that this is “bought” by staff without any money being paid? I think I read something similar happening as described by someone in the forum?
It is Swedish Krona. The ++ is defined by Zazzle as ‘++ Domains that include VAT (and other sales related taxes) will have 20% deducted from purchase price before royalties are calculated.’
1 Swedish Krona is about ten cents American.
Oh, like perhaps to take photos of the physical product for advertising purposes?
There should be a one cent minimum on all royalties. Taking assets without paying anything for them at all is not ethical.
I think that the bar should be set higher than a penny. Let’s set the bar high, not low.
That would depend on the sale price, but there has to be at least one cent involved, even if Zazzle has to eat that penny.
Zero makes no sense. How are we as designers supposed to anticipate any outside costs? Zazzle does that, and we are supposed to make a percentage as we set with our royalties setting. There’s no math that shows 5-10 percent of some price is zero.
Does this mean designers are paying for the VAT which can bring our royalty down to nothing? I thought customers paid VAT?
