2 Step Verification Sign In

would you guys consider adding 2 step verification as an option for members/designers

i really have a guy who follows me around the internet, hes good with computers, he gets my passwords and screws with my accounts

hes been following me around lately, joining one of my forums with bogus accounts, he doesnt stop

im still new to zazzle but i would hate to build up a nice income here and have him just sign in and ruin my account and everything ive worked for

2 step with the phone verification nobody can get thru

No, I hate those things

Only if it’s optional, please!

Exactly, only if it’s optional. I don’t want to have to deal with that every time I sign in!

Agree - only if it’s optional…

I’d support it if there’s the option to recognize the current device/browser. If I had to get an email or turn on my phone to get a code every time I logged in, I would probably get grumpy.

No thanks.

No thanks.

Okay everybody he said as an option. He needs this option. It wouldn’t affect anyone else unless they wanted it or needed it.

Have you checked out the anti-stalking laws. I believe you can file federally and with your local police. If he were to damage your business here, you might be able to sue him for financial loss including the time spent setting it up.

I wanted to add that an issue we had with two-step verification was when our phone shut down because it overheated. The company wanted us to turn it back on so they could test it. We were concerned about a battery fire so we refused. They refused to send us a replacement phone. So we had trouble accessing the few sites where we had two-step verification

Please, do not add this.  I hate it!

OPTIONAL ONLY, please!

Hey @tunescool ,

I’m very sorry to hear of your situation. I don’t believe there are any plans to introduce such a feature currently but I will certainly forward your request and the rest of the feedback in this thread to our team for further review.

All the best, :slightly_smiling_face:

Pádraig.

I don’t have a smartphone and half the time my cell phone isn’t even charged up. Phone verification would be a serious PITA for me.

I hate 2-step verification too, but as an option for those who would be safer with it? Yes to that.

EDIT: Aren’t there programs that can keep people’s accounts extra safe?

@chefcateringbiz   Definitely no phone verification - most REQUIRE a cell phone - I don’t own one.

Only if it is OPTIONAL!!! I absolutely DETEST 2-step verification with a PASSION!!! And now some sites are starting 3- or 4- step verification!

@ElizabethR makes a good point as well. It relies too much on the phone, and last year my phone NUMBER got stolen, so I had to get a new number, and then I wasn’t able to change the old number on important sites like Amazon, because they wanted to verify it with 2-step verification to the old number, and of course I didn’t have that number any more. It took HOURS on the phone to get everything straightened out!
