Add a "Professional/Compact Mode" for Desktop Creators

Hi there! The recent update has significantly slowed down the workflow for high-volume creators. I propose adding a “Pro Mode” or a “Compact View” to restore efficiency. The “Idea” includes:

  1. Consolidate Tabs: Bring back essential design tools and layer management into a single view to eliminate excessive clicking.

  2. Template Visibility: Move the “Make this a template object” toggle back to the main design panel instead of hiding it under Selling Options.

  3. High-Precision UI: Create a layout with smaller buttons and precise coordinate inputs designed for large desktop monitors, not mobile touchscreens.

Why this is needed:  Sellers productivity has dropped by more than 50% with the new “mobile-first” interface.  And this new interface also confuses buyers, and they ask sellers questions about how to use it.

Dear Zazzle, we need a tool that functions like a professional workstation, not a mobile app. So, please bring back the old version or fix the new interface. Thank you very much in advance.

Lots of good ideas in your post to unpack. I use a laptop to design on Zazzle. But, based on what I’m seeing on other posts, a decent percentage of designers use a tablet. And some designers use their mobile phone exclusively to design their products.

On an ipad, folks can purchase a keyboard to circumvent some of the issues with the new platform — like the inability to use keyboard shortcuts. But mobile users would still be excluded. This could result in them having to purchase new hardware to continue to be able to create designs on Zazzle. Not everyone is in a position to run out and buy a keyboard add-on for an ipad, a laptop, or desktop.
