It is long known one purpose of ‘search’ function on forums is for users to ‘check’ if their questions, request for information etc. has already been covered on the forum, to avoid duplicates. It was always the case re old forum … duplicate threads were locked, removed.
We are already seeing some duplicate topics on the forum so it might be helpful to have it included in forum etiquette rules/guidelines a suggestion to use ‘search’ before posting to avoid duplicates. This will be especially useful re the ‘show me’ forum, tips and tricks, affiliate and promotions (all of them in fact 😆 ).
Search ceases to be helpful when multiple ‘titles’ appear for the same topic. Threads requesting links, products (via type) are more helpful when contained in one location.
