Often enough, we aren’t interested in every single one of the sub-forums. It would be handy to have the ability to mark all forums as having been read so we can clear the decks. I suggest the page where all the forums are listed. All it has is “Subscribe,” a dangerous thing to do since it could easily explode a person’s inbox.

I do agree with your comment about easily marking everything as read, but I can only work with the tools provided. I do plan to try and add a ‘mark as read’ feature to the Creators page (the one with the discussion board listing).

You can have the ability to mark all posts as read, but only if you go into the discussion forum. So click into Tech or Feedback or whatever then find the “Options” menu in the upper right and select “Mark all as read.”

Subscribing works great as long as you create a rule in your inbox to send all notifications to a specific folder. The italicized portion is the super important part there. I’ve done this and it works quite nice. Some members of the Mod team will be testing out subscriptions for forums like Feedback and Tech to see if receiving notifications can help us capture important feedback and bugs easier. As with all new tools, time will tell.
That would certainly do it–marking everything read on the Creators page as opposed to doing it forum by forum.
For sure, folders for the inbox are a must. It’s the only way I’ve rolled for years because, otherwise, everything turns difficult to find if not a total wreck.
