First, I can’t figure the difference between Hot and Top.
Second, I’d prefer seeing new or recent ideas first, and only after that I might search for a very active topic. Maybe I’m alone in this, but then again, maybe others agree.

I would think “Top” goes by most kudos so we can see which ideas are getting the most support/positive feedback from the Community, and that “Hot” is probably a combination of metrics including views, replies, and kudos so we can see what topic is generating the most discussion/interest even if not all in favor of the idea.
I’m working with our provider on the sorting options here. The Feedback style of discussion is much more heavily weighted on the original submission.
For now, Hot is whats trending. while Top is an all-time measurement. Since this forum is so new they’ll probably be very similar. This time next year they should be different.
