Associate Center | Referrals

I’m not sure if I’m doing it right, I’ve been doing referrals since November and haven’t seen any referral sales… I’ll post my linkover data in hopes that someone can let me know how long it takes to see a sale? Thanks for any help. I had one pin on Pinterest go viral that I know of over 8,000 impressions but no sale. Has anyone else experienced this?

A general rule of thumb is 1000 linkovers will equal 1 referral.

Keep at it and pin / post more.  They will come eventually.

My linkovers vary from 600-1000 daily, usually around the 600 mark.

I presently achieve about 4-5 referrals a day.

BUT they rarely involve those from other Zazzler’s. Those are much less in frequency. This is possibly due to my referring products of others but sharing my own latest creations in greater volume.

Referrals (I find) is a lot of work. I have blogs, groups and social media to help the process and am ever hopeful for it to increase.

As one gets better with putting referral links out in the wild, you will see a greater return on your efforts as CreativeDesign points out.  I imagine she has a decent following with her blogs, groups and on social media.  As you grow a following, the efforts become more worthwhile.  If your new to it all and starting with little to know following then it will take time and effort.  With P, daily activity is best. 5 - 15 pins a day, spread throughout the day.  When/if you begin to see that posting at a certain time of day gets more attention, then pin more of you 15 pins a day at that time.

You can pin more, but if you go overboard and are only pinning product pins then you risk getting dinged for spam… so be mindful.

@CreativeLeahG - Nice work!  I topped out at about 400 a day before P changed everything and I was getting one to two referrals almost every day.  Since their changes things have slowed down… but I pin far less now too.  I am actively building out other sources to earn referrals from.  And am now finally focusing on my own products.

I put in a huge amount of time pinning to pinterest last year, and a few weeks later I got five sales from two buyers. One of the products I had pinned was later yanked out of the marketplace, perhaps by the Creator.  So that pin will never bring another sale, and I have had zero referrals since that time.

@PacifierCity
Thanks, I don’t think my referrals come from Pinterest. I think they’re blogs and Facebook. I do pin everything though, up to 100 a day some days, just in case!

I have started a thread here how-to-become-an-affiliate-marketer-for-zazzle

with some ideas I have for boosting affiliate sales, which we can all add to, seek feedback, suggestions and so on.

Thx everyone, I guess I need to be patient.

I have a suspicion that our referral code is being stripped in search results by whatever search engine, and replaced with theirs.
