Yesterday I got a very strange sale notification that I can’t explain. Instead of having the product’s name as usual, it says “Based on…”. Even with customized products I’ve never seen the name changed to “Based on…”. And then the royalty rate, even for the smallest size print, and taking the sale into consideration, is insanely low. .07 cents? I have my rate set at 14.9%
Anyone have an idea of what ‘based on’ means or why the teeny tiny royalty?

I haven’t seen that verbiage, but I bet the customer transferred the design to a postcard.
Why would that generate a ‘based on’ addition to the artwork name?
I haven’t seen that verbiage. But I have sold postcards, and the royalty is sometimes 7 cents because the price of a postcard is not very high to begin with.
Actually - pardon the brain fog - I had the ‘transfer this design’ option turned off years ago. However on going back and checking my settings/advanced settings now I can’t even find where that option is any more. I tried looking while not logged in, and I don’t see where a customer would have that option either.
Frustrating! I have looked at a few of your products (beautiful, by the way!) and neither can I find the transfer option, so that does not appear to be an answer here. Has it been a few days since this appeared? If it appeared just today I am wondering if it’s some kind of a glitch that will straighten out on its own. Otherwise, maybe at-mentioning one of the mods would help you get an answer.

Spoke too soon - you were right about it being a design transfer! Today it showed up in my royalty earnings listing as:
