If I want to use elements (squares, circles +) under text, but want some of the background show through without being to Busy - is this possible inside the design Tool, or do I need to download it?

Transparency is not currently a feature in the design tool. Transparent elements work fine, but you’ll need to create and upload them yourself, in a file format that supports it - so .png, .ai, etc.
