Hi everyone, does anyone know whether it’s possible to display regular invitations with a gray background visible around the card while designing them?
At the moment, I only seem to have this type of view when designing foil cards. With regular invitations, the gray background around the card is not visible.
It would be a huge convenience because right now I have to keep switching to the product preview to see how the card looks on the mockup.
Since Zazzle has been making a lot of changes lately, I’m wondering whether this is only happening to me or whether there is a setting that can enable this view for regular invitations as well.
Unfortunately, I’m unable to add a screenshot to this post because I keep getting the following error:
SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 peeraddr=10.1.176.20:443 state=error: certificate verify failed (unable to get local issuer certificate)
If this topic has already been discussed somewhere, I would be very grateful for a link, and I apologize for any duplicate post. I tried searching but couldn’t find a similar thread.
I actually just went to edit a poster, and the layout is super weird there too. There is only one thin gray rectangle outline line. The ‘safe lines’/guides are missing (despite being turned ‘on’). And the artboard is a white square, so it sticks out the sides of the rectangle, but not above and below. Looks confusing and hard to gauge the design.
Regarding posters, I have always had that same unusual weird view, although it has never really bothered me
What I am wondering is whether regular invitations are supposed to look similar, with nothing displayed around the artboard. When I design foil invitations, I can see a gray, slightly marbled surface around the artboard, which makes the card look more realistic, almost as though it is resting on an actual tabletop.
With regular invitations, however, I only see the card area itself, surrounded by a neutral, slightly gray background. The other options, such as gridlines, transparency, safe lines and bleed lines, all work normally. The only thing missing is that tabletop-style surface underneath the card. I simply see the dimensions of the card against this neutral background, with nothing else around it.
It has looked this way for me ever since the new design tool became available, so I am wondering whether this is the normal view or whether I may be missing an option somewhere.
