Do throw pillows sell? Does anyone ever sold it?

I have a question do throw pillows sell? Does anyone ever sold it? I made so many I wonder if I just stop making them. I haven’t sold even one.

Before the onset of the Ambassador Program, yes. They were one of my top-selling products (and resulted in good royalties). But they mostly sold during the spring and summer. And only pillows without themes sold (no holiday pillows, no baby pillows, etc.) just pretty pillows with a nice design (no text, either). Because, truthfully, no homeowner into interior design wants to throw a pillow on their sofa with somebody’s face on it — or text. And customers into interior design are the most likely buyers of home decor items. Position your home decor items to fit the needs of home decor enthusiasts, and create tasteful designs. Don’t bother with Halloween pillows, Valentine’s Day pillows, Christmas, or Thanksgiving pillows. And for goodness sakes, don’t put granny’s or baby’s faces on pillows. Who wants to sit on their faces? Not me!

@jadendreamer13 Thanks  this is very helpful.

Yes, they sell. I’ve sold a few this month.

Go make those sales, girlfriend, but keep your design standards and royalty rates high!

@KarinS That is so reassuring , thanks for your reply.

@jadendreamer13 Thank you very much :two_hearts:

Photo keepsakes are top sellers on Zazzle - including on pillows. If you search for pillows on Zazzle with no other description, the first page is full of photo keepsake pillows as well as monogrammed or other personalized designs. They sell as keepsake gifts and not so much as home decor items. They outpace the home decor designs, but I understand why some designers do not like them. I used to cringe when I saw them until I learned in a reputable training course that I should include them in my Zazzle inventory if I want to improve my earnings. I reluctantly added them and started to see sales growth almost immediately! Just sharing my experience for what it’s worth.

I understand that strategy, but I want my shop to be known for providing high-quality, original designs, not trendy designs that will be discarded when the trend ends.

@SusanF I saw them too SusanF I wondered if that’s the only ones that sell on Zazzle, I can’t make them. I wondered in general if customizable products is why I have small sales, I don’t have them, the ones with customer images and monograms and customer text. Thank you for clarifying it @jadendreamer13 that even though I don’t have them I can still sell what I have on Zazzle. That’s reassuring to me. I understand about keepsakes images especially people know Zazzle for customization, even my AL program always mentions that about Zazzle, I wondered if I am going to make it because I don’t have products like that, I don’t know how to make them. But now I am at peace that there is place for me too with my pillows :))

Veselka, none of my throw pillows that sold have images or monograms or text. They were all patterns.

Also, in the summer, outdoor pillows sell well for me, particularly bright-colored pillows. People seem to be more adventurous with color when designing outdoor spaces.

@KarinS That’s awesome KarinaS , I just had a huge sigh of relief

@jadendreamer13 That is great to know !

Create what you are comfortable with @Veselka_store! Best of luck with your sales!

@SusanF Thank you very much SusanF .
