I can’t take anymore. I am working on a wedding invitation suite. I uploaded an AI image. The system gives me an error message that it cannot upload due to a server error. I go back and make the image all over again, to be sure the problem is not on my end. It opens beautifully with all 3 of my design software programs. I upload it to my wedding design on Zazzle and I get Loren Ipsum text font paragraphs! We have heard nothing about any of the other technical glitches that cannot possibly take this long to correct, and have thousands of products sitting in hidden status until they ARE fixed. Something needs to give before the end of business today. I mean really. Here is a link.
“This is an Adobe Illustrator file that was saved without PDF content. To place or open this file in other applications it should be re-saved from Adobe Illustrator with the “Create PDF Compatible File” option turned on. This option is in the Illustrator Native File Options dialog box, which appears when saving an Adobe Illustrator file using the Save As command.”
This is an error message, not Lorem Ipsum text. Can you try following the instructions above and try again?
It happened again and I got screenshots. The first link will take you to the screenshot that shows I saved as compatible to PDF. The second link shows an error message when uploading it to my design.
You can upload .ai files as long as you saved them as PDF compatible. But they aren’t editable. The text will behave like any other shape.
On the plus side, even though you have to use Zazzle’s fonts for editable text, an ai file allows for those very large tapestries/banners/blankets which is great. They retain vector scalability.
