Was wondering if it shows an ‘order by’ date for holidays such as Halloween, Christmas, etc.
And wondering how fast Zazzle ships orders to customers in general, any complaints from buyers about taking too long to get their orders?

On every product page, to the right of the product image where the price and order info shows, you will find the estimated shipping timeframe. They show the ship time using express shipping and standard shipping. Different product types are produced at different makers locations. Invitations and paper products are printed at a different location than shower curtains or floor mats, for example. Each product will show the estimated shipping arrival date.
Don’t throw stones, but keep in mind that Zazzle doesn’t fulfill everything themselves—it’s mostly third-party vendors.
Being based outside the US, shipping times can be pretty terrible, and there’s zero transparency on regional domains about where a product originates. I’ve had one order ship from Germany with defects, only for the replacement to arrive weeks later from the States.
Most buyer complaints I get actually trace back to trademark issues (like parents trying to print their kid’s Disney doodles). The only customers who ever complained to me about shipping speeds were from Germany, despite the delivery estimates being stated on the site.
The speeds themselves are manageable, but we desperately need clear origin labels. Plenty of international customers hesitate to buy from the US—knowing an item is produced within Europe would make a huge difference for conversions.
To me, the delivery dates on the order page look like classic artificial urgency to drive conversions. It’s less about guaranteed delivery and more of an incentive—“order right now and you’ll get it faster.” The phrasing and placement make it pretty obvious that this is marketing language first and foremost, not an estimate they actually intend to stick to.
My experience ordering from Zazzle has been the delivery dates shown on the product page have been pretty accurate. Since I specialize in events, weddings, birthdays and party invitations, those delivery dates are important to the customer who needs their items in time for their event. Those dates are not artificial urgency…they are important to customers scheduled events or occasions. They are also helpful to the customer who has waited until the last minute to order something that cannot be delivered in time for their event. It lets them know they need to find another source. I get a fair number of chat messages from customers wanting me to rush their order because they just realized they needed something, or they were sick and unable to order until now. That is out of my hands.
In the US it is around one week, to Germany it took 3 weeks. It depends which country you live and where they produce the items.
Thank you everyone! Very helpful.
