Foam Board Pricing Difference, Possible Glitch?

I have read that there is a slightly higher price when using a color or design on the back of a foam board.

I went through and used the “remove background’’ tool on all of my foam boards to be sure that there weren’t any hidden designs or colors on the back of the foam boards. The color then showed as the transparent grid, with a color code of “00FFFFFF”.

For some reason, the price with the background removed is higher than a white or colored background. If you remove the background from the front, the price also goes up.

Before I go back and change everything to a white background, I am wondering if anyone else has this issue or am I missing something??

The minute you change anything at all on the back, the prices goes up.

If I add a color to the front and back, the price actually goes down. When I click on “remove background” on either the front or back, the price goes up. Try it here: Create your own Foam Boards | Zazzle

You’re right! I took one of my existing foam boards that didn’t have anything on the back, added a color background, then posted for sale, and it was $3 less! (Just a test product, so I then deleted it).

Strange, right?!

Do you think this is a glitch? I’d hate to change all of my foam board products just to have to change them back again if it is.

I tried a CYO blank at the 8x10 size. Base price (i.e. min 5% royalty) is $24.95.

If you add anything to just the Front - image, bg color, or both, price remains $24.95.
If you add anything to just the Back - image, bg color, or both, price remains $24.95.
If you put something on both sides - doesn’t matter if it’s an image, just a bg color, or both - the price switches to $18.60.

My guess is they have the prices for one-sided printing vs two-sided printing mixed up.
