I haven’t created a design in almost a year. Is there a video or a link explaining the newest setup? For example, Do we no longer need to name our layers? I can’t find where to do that.
I don’t think there’s a video that I know of but here are two places to start learning the design tool. You can ask Zee how to use anything in the design tool and it gives pretty clear ‘how to’ instructions. And no, we can’t name our layers anymore, but I wish we could…that’s one thing I really miss from the old tool.
ok, thank you! I usually try to steer clear of ai.
I’ve moved this discussion to General Discussion since there’s no bug being reported here.
The Help Center should have useful information here. If you still have questions please share them here. I’ll keep an eye on the discussion and see if I can get any unanswered questions turned into a new Help Center article.
I totally understand the hesitation to use AI, but we’ve been slowly improving its ability to help with design creation and editing. It can complete simple and moderate tasks quite well, so if you’re having trouble finding a specific tool then you can try asking it for help. I’ve been working with this feature for a few years now, so if you’re not finding it helpful then please let me know. This is a feature that we built totally in-house, and not something that we contracted out to a third party, and our aim is that it be genuinely helpful.
Hi Linda! The new interface is quite an adjustment and I’m still adapting. As far as naming the layers (or presumably the template objects?), click on “selling options” that’s at the top right in that menu and then you can turn “make this a template object” and that’s where you can name it. I don’t know where you can see what you’ve named everything like we used to be able to, but if you click “Edit” then you can see what all you’ve made a template already.
Thank you, Lea. I hope you are well! So far the changes more cumbersome.
Thank you! Your illustration is very helpful.
No problem at all : ) It’s always so hard to get used to a new workspace.
