i have a problem with views - on a product i see 17 views but insight views are 0.
I dont think all these 17 views are my own clicks. What can be the reason of the difference? And it is with all my products - they have views but in insight views is 0 everywhere.
Hi Martina, don’t worry too much about the Insight Views. In my experience, they work inconsistently and very often don’t match the number shown as Product Views. It has actually been like this for me since the beginning.
I honestly don’t pay much attention to Insight Views anymore. I usually look at the main Product Views number instead, because for me it seems much more reliable.
I would only start to suspect there is an actual issue if the Product Views in the main statistics section, where you can also see things like Last Viewed, Last Sold, etc., were not showing properly at all. There was actually a bigger problem with product views recently and it was reported in the Technical Issues thread, but it looks like that particular issue has now been fixed.
You can also check that thread to see if anyone has reported the same problem with Insight Views. I haven’t been following that particular issue, so this is just a suggestion, but it’s possible that someone has already reported it.
thank you for supporting me, i actualy dont know what to think, i would like to be sure that all the views are just really not mine - they look nice, but somehow i dont think its the reality and maybe actually nobody viewed anything of my product yet.
I completely understand you. When I was just starting out, one thing that helped me a lot was connecting Google Analytics to my Zazzle store. It made it much easier to see whether the views were actually coming from me or from other sources, so I definitely recommend setting that up. It gives you a much clearer picture than the Zazzle statistics alone.
Also, just as a general tip not related to views, but more to selling on Zazzle in general, I would really recommend using Zazzle’s Moments Planning Guide:
This is actually one of those pieces of advice I wish someone had given me when I was starting out I spent almost two years more or less ignoring this guide, and now I think it’s one of the most useful tools for beginners who are still trying to understand how Zazzle works and what kind of products are worth focusing on at different times of the year.
Of course, even now I don’t follow it perfectly. There are certain occasions I simply don’t enjoy designing for, like Back to School or Halloween, so I consciously skip them, knowing that I’m probably leaving some money on the table . And I still tend to work in a lot of creative chaos and sometimes make completely random designs. But that’s different from simply not knowing what to focus on. Especially at the beginning, following the guide more or less can save you a lot of time, help you plan your designs several months ahead instead of creating everything completely at random, and give you a better chance of maintaining some level of sales throughout the year.
I would actually recommend starting even earlier than the guide suggests. I’m already regretting that I didn’t start working on Christmas products back in March or April this year. Still, I’m hoping this holiday season will turn out okay for me. Time will tell At this point, though, I really think we’re getting close to the last good moment to catch the Christmas season. If I were deciding what to design right now, I would focus almost entirely on Christmas products, or already start working on things for the spring and summer season.
You definitely don’t have to follow the guide strictly, but I think it’s really useful for understanding what to work on and when.
thank you very much for your advices, i connected analytics alredy and there is clearly visible all views are from me (from Czech), so the stats semms to be allright in the end.
I love you people for your helpfullness, thank you again and wish you all the best
