Is Grouping still important?

With the new collections format, is color grouping multiple products still important? Zazzle shows “other styles for this product” under the product image, so it seems like those other colrs will show up there.

I’m just asking because I have some ornaments that have the same design, with different colorways, but they have different photo templates, so they aren’t grouped. I’m not sure if I should change out the templates so they all match, and then request a manual grouping, or if it’s no longer important?

I recently noticed that when I looked at collections where I had added multiple colorways for the same product, the ones that had been grouped showed up as one style, whereas the ones that hadn’t grouped showed up as separate styles. I’m going to go check whether this is still the case.

It looks like my recently grouped items are showing as separate styles and the ones that have been grouped for a while show up as a single style
