I would be cautious about using any Pantone color name in a title.
What do you suggest in stead of that ?
I found more than 3000 products on the marketplace tagged with peach fuzz - so I thought it was allowed /tolerated whatever …
Is it the color name AND the entity’s name? I though the color is okay.

Solid gold advice! DO NOT USE “Pantone” anywhere (description, tags, name)!!! I had a ton of items removed due to copyright including super old and popular designs that didn’t use the tag Pantone but were related items. ![]()
(eg: business cards with the same design but in different colors). I stupidly used “pantone peach fuzz” as a tag for some of the new designs.
I emailed Pantone, and they said we can’t use their color names. I asked specifically if it was OK to use the name without the word “Pantone,” and they didn’t specify that- they just said don’t use their property including color names.
Personally, I don’t think it would hold up in court for most of their color names, like Marsala or Classic Blue. But Peach Fuzz is a gray area, so I would avoid it. And anyway, none of us have the means to fight them in court! And meanwhile they would get Zazzle to take down our designs.
Why would they take down the designs that DIDN’T have that tag!?
I know right? Ugh. My assumption is that they deleted the one with the problematic tag but it was connected to the other colorways as a bundle in the system. Unfortunately they were older designs that were selling quite well… and that’s why I added the peach fuzz option.
Be careful with tags. That’s my lesson learned!
Thank you …but if not pantone -"only peach fuzz " Then it it OK according to you ?
Is it possible for a company to assert exclusive ownership over a particular color? Is it actually a thing?
I think you can simply use the color name “peach” which is not related in any way to Pantone. If you instead use the tag “fuzz or fuzzy peach”, that’s related to Pantone for sure! The same think is with Barbie Pink or just Pink ![]()
