New Feature: SMS Verification

Hi Zazzle Creators,

We are excited to announce a new feature that will enhance the security and overall experience for our vibrant community. We will now have SMS verification for all users who wish to use the chat feature on our platform.

Why SMS Verification?

  1. Enhanced Security:

SMS verification adds an extra layer of security, ensuring that our community members are genuine and protecting against potential fraudulent activities. This means a safer environment for all.

  1. Improved Communication:

By verifying users, we can reduce spam and ensure that interactions are more meaningful and trustworthy. This will make your conversations more productive and enjoyable.

  1. Increased Trust:

Knowing that the person you’re chatting with is verified builds trust within our community. This is especially important for collaborations and interactions with fellow Creators and Customers.

How It Works

The process is simple:

  1. Register your phone number: When you next login and wish to use the chat feature, you’ll be prompted to enter your phone number.

  1. Receive a verification code: You’ll receive an SMS with a unique code.

  1. Enter the code: Input the code into the provided field on screen.

  2. Once verified, you’ll have full access to the chat feature and can continue to connect and collaborate with Customers and Creators seamlessly.

We Value Your Privacy

Your privacy is our priority. Rest assured, your phone number will only be used for verification purposes and will not be shared with third parties.

Safety is Our Priority

We believe this new feature will significantly enhance your experience and safety on Zazzle. If you ever encounter anything suspicious, please do let us know on the forum. It is our top priority to ensure a safe community for all.

Dear Zazzle Support Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I am reaching out from Pakistan regarding an issue with account verification. I recently received a pop-up notification prompting me to verify my account. However, I noticed that my country is not listed in the dropdown menu.

Could you please guide me on how to proceed with the verification process? Additionally, I would like to know whether this verification requirement will affect my PayPal payments. I am expecting my earnings from January 2025 to be paid in March 2025, so I want to ensure there are no issues with the payout.

I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards,

SaimArts

I received an email from Zazzle today: October 31, 2025, stating that I had received a MESSAGE on the Zazzle site messaging system - from a potential Customer.

When I sign into my Zazzle account and attempt to retrieve that potential Customer’s message, I am informed that my phone number must be VERIFIED, and a box into which I am to type my phone number is provided.  It also says that the system wishes to send me an SMS message with a CODE - to be entered into another provided box - so my phone number (which will NOT be used in retrieving said potential Customer’s message) - can be verified.

When I enter my phone number into its box, it is rejected as INVALID.  Most likely invalidated by the fact that my phone number references my Landline.  I do not believe that a Landline phone is able to receive SMS messages.

I DO NOT HAVE A CELLPHONE.

The service fee for my Landline telephone is packaged with the charge for my monthly Cable/WiFi service.  I do not leave the house these days as I am quite elderly, paying for ONE phone system at my residence plus the monthly fee for using it is drain enough on my Social Security each month, let alone adding the cost of purchasing a cellphone and paying THAT monthly fee, as well - while I use neither phone - would be beyond my capabilities!

If Zazzle is content to send emails to me on a regular basis, why can it not simply inform me via email that a potential Customer has used the on-site messaging system to contact me (and whom I shall no doubt have to refer to customer service, anyway, since I am only the “content provider” and have no say in what happens onsite once I’ve uploaded my artwork) since I have to SIGN INTO MY ZAZZLE ACCOUNT, using my PASSWORD to even read his message to begin with?  Is that not security enough?

This is not Fort Knox we are associated with, here . . . nor is it Cape Canaveral or The Pentagon and thus TOP SECRET and requiring such protection.  This is an online site that is visited hourly by MILLIONS of people from all over the World.  Why on Earth is it necessary to verify a phone number THAT ZAZZLE HAS NEVER HAS USED, NOR EVER WILL USE to contact me, before it will let me to sign into my password protected Zazzle account - which has nothing to DO with my telephone - and read a message left by a customer who is asking questions about the “per oz. capacity” of a PRODUCT in the Zazzle product line.  NOT even a question about one of my designs from what I could read, darkly, in the background of my Accounts page, behind the box asking me to enter my phone number.

I await your response. . .while the potential Customer also awaits our response. . .to his Message: locked away by my inability to verify a non-existing MOBILE PHONE that Zazzle would never use to contact me, anyway.

Thank you.

Hi @MaggieRossDogs  , thanks for your message. We generally would ask for Creators who don’t have a cellphone or like @Saimarts   their country is not on the list. However this article did not include this advice (which I will not update).

Also, I have been able to verify your account with internal information and have manually verified your account. You should see this reflected in your account and be able to access messages in a few hours.

Thanks.

I am in the Untied States. I put in the code and I get the same pop up saying I need to verify again. I have done this on different days about half a dozen times. the messages are under the pop up. I can’t read them because the pop up is in the way. Something is very wrong with this system for verification. I wish someone could help me. I have customers waiting for answers from me and I can’t answer them. Thank you!

Hi @ilovedigis  , we will have someone reach out to you now.
