Trying to test out my answer for someone else’s post, I discovered there is no Right hand panel in the design area. (Same issue on Firefox and Microsoft Edge)
When I go into the design area today, I get no options in the RIGHT HAND panel. ??? …
Okay I did some testing and I do see the right hand panel AFTER I input text or image …
But panel only shows while the element selected - nothing if I click off of the text/image.
Nowhere is there a place to choose a background color???
Not sure what you’re seeing, but since the right-hand panel is contextual, it doesn’t contain anything unless/until you’ve added at least one layer and/or have got one of the layers highlighted/selected. Are you still not seeing it even when you’ve got a layer selected?
@Cat the ‘add a background color’ layer on the envelopes doesn’t appear even when you add your own artwork layer but that’s by design apparently (as per Scott’s reply to me earlier)
Hmmm… maybe I’m confused about what the question was! 😃 At any rate, it does drive me crazy that there’s no background layer for envelopes - especially for the inside part. I end up using filled rectangles to get the color I want. For the outside part there actually is a background color feature, but it’s located on the product page, not inside the design tool! I think that was supposed to make it easier for customers, but it drives me batty!
OK - it was probably my “brain fog” yesterday. On checking today there seems to always be nothing in the right panel on a new product page, or when you click off of the design element. Yesterday (and somewhat today) I was certain that there was something in the right panel on opening a new product design page.

Regarding the background color .. I was certain that I had used this option in some of my VERY EARLY envelopes, but I guess I chose the colors on the product page from the Printed Background Color section.
