I’ve been trying to figure out how to set up Products, Categories and Collections for a week. I still cannot get things to appear on my Public Storefront the way I think they’re supposed to. Ugh. I’m merely trying to make a few dummy Products, and assign them to Categories and Collections. I just need to understand how these elements work together before I create actual Products. I have questions:
In my previous thread (re. the disappearance of my Store) a contributor mentioned that the Zazzle website has been experiencing problems that keep Storefronts from displaying properly.
Q1. Is that problem still in effect? When I attempt to view my storefront I frequently see _ “WHOOPS! Something went wrong!” _ Maybe my Lost Week at Zazzle is really a case of bad timing, ie. trying to learn while Z system technical glitches make it impossible to do the basic processes I’m trying to learn…
Q2. If I HIDE my Store (while learning), does that mean the store will not display at all? Will it not display Categories, Collections or Products on my own hidden Storefront even to ME?
For the next questions, assume my Store is NOT hidden, it’s available to the public.
Q3. If a Category (with its own thumbnail image) contains no products, will that Category display on the Public Storefront? Or must the Category contain at least one product?
Q4. Same question as in Q3 above, but for Collections. Will an empty Collection display on the Public Storefront?
Q5. I made a trial Category named ‘Mugs.’ There are two trial mug products assigned to that Category, but only one appears (yes, I can now see this one Category on my Public Storefront). Can anyone offer a suggestion as to why the second mug doesn’t appear in the Mug Category? Both are clearly assigned to that Category.
Thanks
