Please Simplify the Process for Uploading New Cover Photos

Working through hundreds or products adding newly produced in-situ images, is very time consuming. In doing so, I have identified where things could be made a whole lot easier.

Instead of going through the process of (1) clicking " Product Media Manager", at the top of the page, then (2) having to click the button " Add Media" on the new page that opens, and then (3) having to click a further button " Upload Media", could we please simply have ONE link to click? Just have " Upload Media" at the top of the page - one action instead of three.

(If people need detailed instructions on what needs to be done you can have a little information question-mark alongside the link.)

The three-step process as it is calls for keyboard gymnastics as the cursor is unnecessarily moved around the screen to make superfluous clicks.

Alternatively, just have a direct “Upload Media” link above the photos.

We still need the media manager to add multiple photos, delete photos, and put them in the order we want.

In which case it would be a good option to have an additional"Upload Media" or “Upload a Cover Inage” link above the photos. As it is, the image uploaded becomes the default first picture showing, so there’d be no need to re-order anything.

Very good idea, really need something like this !

I am keen for a quick upload button, drag and drop a n image… or drag and drop on the back end (grid) products view, that would be great! I like the option to add extra picture captions though, i wonder how helpful they are for SEO.
