Could someone from Zazzle please confirm what the maximum size to upload a PNG file.
For months I have been unable to upload a PNG file above 3 - 4MB. Sometimes larger but not always. An error message appears and times out.
I’ve changed browsers, have good internet speed - all the usual checks, and I have no problem in uploading PNG files of 10+MB on other POD sites. Thank You.
What DPI are you using? Based on my use of the Adobe Design to Print Tool, the maximum DPI is 150.

Hi there - why should this matter? If DPI is set at 300 DPI then all that this does is increase the size of the file. So it’s the actual size of the file that’s the issue..

You just answered your own question. DPI does affect file sizes. Hence, my suggestion to set DPI sizes at no larger than 150 DPI.
I doubt file size has anything to do with it - I have uploaded jpg and tiff images large enough for big blankets and shower curtains that have been 50mb+…. So I don’t think there’s a limit placed. If there’s high traffic or any other reason that bandwidth might be lacking, really big files may timeout, but I’ve always managed to get them through eventually. Something as small as 3-4 mb shouldn’t be posing huge problems unless there’s something stoping them.
That’s exactly what I think PenguinPower. However, for several months - maybe 12 - I haven’t been able to upload larger PNG files to Zazzle. Someone has mentioned previously that perhaps there is something in my chrome browser stopping the upload, but then why does this work with other POD sites? It is incredibly frustrating.
Can you send us an email with an image or two that you’re unable to upload? You can just send the email to the support team and the team will keep an eye out.

The only thing that affects file size (aside from compression, maybe color profile, etc.) is the total number of pixes. It’s just the raw amount of data. DPI does not affect file size - it’s just a signal to the printing process how big the pixels should be in printing ie. how pixes translate to inches.
I could send you some demo images to prove this but I’m not sure how to do that on this platform.

I’m having issues uploading large files, it doesn’t matter if it’s a .png or jpg or pdf.
Anyone know why there seems to be issues uploading to Zazzle when I have no issues uploading elsewhere?
Just a hunch but, if several folks are having issues uploading graphics period regardless of size… There is the possibility at that point in time a LOT of other people might be doing the same, and Z might only be able to handle so much at one time. Kind of like a crowd of people trying to go through a doorway at the same time.
I have no proof of this, but if several people reply here saying the same issues it would be a good idea for one of the admins to check. It might just be a heavy time of year; it is about halfway so people might be getting halloween/thanksgiving/christmas stuff ready and those are the heavy hitting holidays.
Hi there - fast forward 4 years and the simple answer was no, this wasn’t ever resolved.
I must have tested in in all shapes and forms. The Mod at that time told me that they couldn’t replicate the issue and so nothing happened. As far as I’m aware I would still have a problem but as I’m not really active on Zazzle I’m not 100% sure.
