When I do a search for my Christmas store https://www.zazzle.com/s/christmascafe most of the first page of results only has the product showing as the title. Not the full title. Using “popular” sort.
For example in the search results it says “Wrapping Paper Sheets” instead of “Vintage Christmas Santa Claus Sleigh with Reindeer Wrapping Paper Sheets”
@MasterpieceCafe I’ve had this issue too on my store front home page - I found that if I hit refresh on my browser, the titles return to normal. Not sure why it happens though
edited to add - just noticed the ones that are affected on mine have cover photo’s? Strange… perhaps it’s related to the sitewide sweep of cover photo updates and the title is the last to update?
But your store just has product type, maybe because they can already see the design so the title is irrelevant? The customer needs to know what the product is because these could be posters, postcards etc.
Thanks, but most of my products have the full title visible. Or are you saying we are switching to just the product type in search results? Maybe this is a new view and is expected?
Thanks so much! But now I’m wondering if this is expected behavior? That maybe Zazzle is switching over to just product type in the search results so it’s more obvious what the product is? That would make sense, sometimes it is hard to tell, a square could be a magnet, a tile or a poster. Hmmmm …
@MasterpieceCafe it’s just what I think as I notice a lot of my products with a cover photo often get ‘modified’ (i.e last modified date changes) on a regular basis (without any interaction from me)
I was going to try and do a quick edit to see if that might change the titles in the MP search. But the MP popular sort and my backend popular sort are different so I wouldn’t capture the affected products.
