Products being hidden early for optimization

I now have 1000s of products being hidden across my stores that were modified/created under 3 months ago.

Can I assume this is a known bug being worked on? Is it related to the other “need optimizing” issues we’ve had recently?

Experiencing the same here and have for quite some time. I don’t believe it’s a bug. Add this to the question of what are the coders and techs being paid to do?

Hey all,

Sorry to hear about this issue. Please provide links so we can investigate. Thanks.

Thanks! These were last modified on 4/2/2025. I have more, but I’m going to edit them now.

I have products with “trending” levels of views and others that are less than a month old being flagged for “optimization” which is so vague a complaint I am not sure how to address the issue.

Any news? Hoping to have this sorted before the weekend.

@MasterpieceCafe  , I think in your case this is expected. If you remember, we have a limit of 100k for public products per Tax ID, and I feel like we discussed you being over this limit before and how to you could resolve this. You can find more information here. Thanks.

That doesn’t explain why others are experiencing the same thing. And it seems to be more date driven than anything else.

I’d also like to say that I’ve sold over 50k unique products. It’s impossible to create and stay under 100k products. I’d like to continue to add when new products are introduced. I literally have 1000s of images I can upload. I understand that Zazzle has this cap on products allowed per account. I also know that certain accounts are exceptions. I was hoping that prodesigner level would factor into Zazzle’s decision to allow me to be an exception as well. Thanks.

@MasterpieceCafe   I think in the grand scheme of things a 100k limit is more than enough. If you were to go through your products, I’m sure there are lots that have never or no longer serve your store. I know every product was made with love, but in your case a bit of housekeeping to bring you well under that limit might be necessary.

When the limit was first passed I spent a year trimming over 150k products. And over the years since I’ve trimmed 1000s more. I understand that my case is unusual, but I’ve also been with Zazzle since 2009. I came into the POD world with a huge library of ready images and have built on that over the past 15 years. I understand that Zazzle needs to make limits, but I still have hope that I will make it to the exceptions list.

Having the same (and similar) issues. New products randomly end up in the ‘optimization needed’ section.
Products that have been viewed recently are in there too. If you take a look at the ‘optimization’ section of ricaso_designs for example..
Across stores, products I’ve tried to optimize, just sit there, even days later ..
