Random products marked hidden but do not show up when

I sort by hidden. This has been happening for months. They are not marked for optimization.

Here are two examples.

Check your emails to see if you missed anything. That happened to me once and it turned out that the quality control team had hidden it because they said the color was out of gamut and didn’t reproduce well. Maybe there’s something like that?

No emails. This has also been going on for a while, but I’m just now getting around to ask.

But here’s a funny thing … the two products I posted have now switched to “needing optimization?”

So maybe it’s just some sort of weirdness that happens before becoming “needing optimization?” But odd that they were marked as “hidden” but didn’t show as “hidden” when I sorted that way.

Very odd, indeed. I’ve noticed that there’s a certain amount of “random lag” with the whole optimization process. Like I’ll get notifications that things need optimizing, but when I go and look there’s nothing there - then they show up in a day or two. And don’t even get me started on things that I just made public still showing as hidden. I think maybe whatever marks things as hidden or needing optimization or viewed and vice vera - that they’re all separate processes that aren’t necessarily synchronized with each other, so it takes several days for everything to catch up. I have NO CLUE if that’s what’s really happening or not, but it’s my best guess!

@Mark   Yes, I edited them since they had gone from “hidden” to “needing optimization” so there didn’t seem any reason to not edit them since they no longer were exhibiting the issue I originally posted about.

But I’ve noticed this several times over months. The bothersome part is that they are marked “hidden” but if I sort by hidden they do not show up. So they only way to find them is by accident.

Next time I see this happen I’ll see if they become “needing optimization” later.
