Just now, I’ve been going through one of my categories, methodically updating descriptions, as one does from time to time. The category HAD 223 products. I successfully updated a few dozen, then for no reason, after I update something, and the page refreshes, it will have deleted a product (not the one I just updated, something else random), and I’ll be down by one. The first one, I thought “well that’s weird, what did I do?” and kept going. Then It did it again, and again. So I’ve stopped. It was at 220 when I started typing this. I just refreshed again, and its down to 218. ???
It’s the CRAZY QUILT category, fyi, if mods want to check it. Afraid to touch anything!
OK, never mind. I figured it out. I had shifted a few things into different subcategories, but the timing of when Z decided to actually shift them (you know how that takes hours at least, or days) coincided EXACTLY with when I was doing the updating. So it looked like it was just randomly deleting things, when in fact it was just shifting them around as I had requested. * Heavy sigh.* So sorry, so embarrassed. Its Monday. Obviously need more coffee. I’ll slink back into my corner now.
I have posted things like this more times than I can (or care to 😂) remember, so you aren’t alone! Don’t be embarrassed. I’m glad your products weren’t missing!
