Hey Shelli - I was wondering that too so I did a google search for using macros in a Khoros community, I couldn’t find a guide, but it looks like they are areas where you can save text you frequently use so you don’t have to copy and paste every time. Couldn’t find how to use them though. Hopefully a mod will chime in soon - I can see a use for it!

I was just coming to the forums to make a post about that, inquiring as to macros. But the search feature is GREAT and brought me right here, so that I did not have to duplicate the question.

Macros are awesome. Name a macro in the first line. Then put your code in the second box. Click DONE or SAVE or whatever that bottom of page button says. Next time you post, choose that macro which you just named. (You will see a MACROS box in the functions line atop your post --maybe you won’t see that before you have made at least one macro in your settings). I made one that says that says
hey gang.
The value here is that once you insert the macro you have your starter words in the font, size and color you want. And you can keep typing and all your text looks like this. Or whatever your macro says it’s gonna look like.
You can also make a more demure setting like this.
Or you can make a macro to let everyone know you would be happy to follow them back on Pinterest.
And that’s what I know about macros and how to use them.

I think it’s an odd name for what it is, but now I get it!

Am I off the planet , prefer my wording , rather than having macro choosing them for me! Strange Times!
