Referral drop down earnings - reason why - possible answer

Hi there,

This is a german thinking - Is it possible, that we almost have no referrals, because customers deny cookies and have an adblocker? In Europe we have all adblockers and deny cookies, because they hunt the customer for month. If I dont protect myself with an ad blocker, I will get more than 20000 per month and I dont have time for that.  Is it the same in the US?

@HoBiNi  I‘m not German but a few days ago I was thinking just the very same. Then I thought about funktional cookies etc. and I put the idea to investigate more onto the back-burner.

Good question!! :+1:t4:

Just wondering now, in Ilight of your thought, wouldn’t we all be seeing more ‘None’ vs 3rd party referral sales? I don’t quite understand why we don’t get as many ‘None’ referral sales since April Fools day 2025. Is it the extended time allotted ‘cookies’, more referrals per Z’s request or something else?

@JLynnW  @HoBiNi  Hmm. Those are all very good questions and I have to admit that I don’t really know how it all works (hence I had put thinking about it on the back burner). I would love to learn more about it though.

I personally for our small, not very successful store don’t feel that the system is rigged, especially when I look at our own numbers:

All time

  • None: 23

  • 3rd Party: 109

  • Self: 58

Since April 1, 2025

  • None: 8

  • 3rd Party: 63

  • Self: 47

So our numbers seem to be normal kinda? No?

I have not made a self or referral sale of any kind sing Jan. 21st. I have been spending approx. $150 a month on advertising. Making sales but all under 10 bucks, most under 5.  I am convinced that the referral links are still messed up.  I am finding the whole glass ware pricing is not working correctly. Sold 4 stemless wineglasses at 20.8% markup and got $2.69.  Whoever is doing the figuring really assured that I did not get even the minimum for a non referral sale.
