I would like some advise for my royalty %, please. I used to set my royalties at 10%, but since the ambassador program, I changed it 19%. I’m I shooting myself in the foot by doing this? I’d like to understand more about the issue of how to set my royalties in order to have a better income from Zazzle. I’d love to hear from you experts in the field, please?
I have mine set at 23.7%. I reduced it to 15% as an experiment but sales didn’t increase, so I set it back to 23.7%. @ColsCreations calculated that 23.7% earns you the same as before the change if your royalty was 14.9%.
I’d suggest giving ChatGPT your royalty report and ask it if 19% has had any impact compared to 10%, and if you should try experimenting with different rates.
Thanks, I will try that. I just find it very strange how Zazzle has come up with their calculating system. If you work out on a calculator, 19% of $65.03 = about $13. I only received $6.05 in royalty. Where did the rest go, I wonder.
If the sale was referred by a third party, you pay 50% of your royalty as a marketing fee. That’s why you would need a royalty rate of 23.7% to earn the same as you did with a royalty of 14.9% before the April 1 2025 change to fees. You get up to 50% of the sale price on your own products if you refer the customer via a clean link (no rf code). You get the full royalty (19% in your case) if there’s no referrer.
