How long will it take for me to get sales on my items in my shop?
I’d say a few years. It took me over a year to get my first sale, and it took about four years before I got up to five sales.

If you have a way to put a few thousand eyes on your products, you could have a very different experience. The key is to get your products seen. Clearly there are people at Zazzle who are able to do this, but most of us struggle with having our products seen by buyers.

Yeah I’ve been promoting on TikTok but all of the people there tell me to buy my own product and to show it off but I’m not gonna go do that because I don’t want to do that.

But I’ve also been promoting on Instagram too or I’ve been trying to promote on Instagram, so what do you think should I go buy one of my own products and show it off so that people will be more interested?
or maybe you could give me some tips on how you promoted your store to get more sales, well maybe we should do that in a private message.

I tried Instagram and posted pretty regularly for a few months (and stopped cold when I nearly died in a freeway accident this year). https://www.instagram.com/internationalbirthdaycards/ I had fun doing it, but got no traction.
As far as buying my own offerings, I have never done this for the purpose of increasing my sales, nor for having a product to show others. My policy at Zazzle is: I don’t get high on my own supply. I am not much of a shopper, period. I did buy a few things from Zazzle over a decade ago. For example, I printed a pic of my own house on a t-shirt so that my husband could wear it to a block party. At the block party in prior years, everyone was always asking “which house do you live in” so I figured it would be fun to just point to the shirt and then it would be obvious.
