Something changed on Pinterest...and it's actually good!

Was amazed to find that I was able to edit the title and descriptions of pins that I’ve shared using the Zazzle share button! I’ve been making manual pins for quite a while because without keyword-rich titles and descriptions there was no hope for them to be found in a Pinterest search. It’s still not ideal, in that the share button still doesn’t add this info from our product pages, but at least it’s slightly less work to just edit them than it is to create each pin from scratch. Doing a little happy dance …  😁

Oh wow, thanks for sharing that news Baylee.  What a pleasant surprise. I make most of my pins manually and use the Zazzle share button once in a while. I did post a couple yesterday with the button and didn’t notice it at the time that we could add the title and description. Thanks again.

I have also found that I can copy my description of a product in Zazzle and then paste it to Pinterest. Sometimes need to do a little editing, but this still saves time. Just wish I had discovered it long ago. Happy that I noticed your conversation on this. Thanks.

I have been editing my pins since I saw this post, however, currently there is some kind of glitch. I am unable to edit any pins. I’ve tried to change boards and add a link (missed a few when posting) but I keep getting an error message. I’m hopeful that this doesn’t last long.

Just and FYI. If you are using the Pinterest Scheduler, I noticed this about AI pins today.

There are some new state AI laws coming into effect in June, so that’s probably why they added that. People can also filter out AI images if they want to using their Pinterest settings, so that will help Pinterest identify them.

And this morning I noticed that there is a compare button. When you click it lets you pick up to three more similar items that are shown and then have them compared by AI. I noticed it was showing my Zazzle mugs weren’t in stock when compared to other company mugs. They are in stock. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Ooh, interesting…I’m not seeing that yet, but they tend to roll changes out in waves.

The out-of-stock thing is a glitch that happens pretty frequently. There’s no way to control it or change it, I think it has something to do with how Pinterest is reading the platform’s catalog. It happens with Etsy shops a lot.
