Did anyone else notice a huge spike in their link over history yesterday?
Yes, it doubled, wow!
Yup, mine more than tripled and to an amount I found totally doubtful.
It’s too bad that it was probably a glitch! Oh well… 🙁
@SORS yes - 1,502 for January 23 (no corresponding spike in sales, though!) ![]()
How do you view your link over history?
Thank you!
When we all get spikes - something smells suspicious (or maybe that’s just me)
I didn’t get over a thousand views yesterday on my products even though the linkover history says 1344 links were clicked on.
Perhaps it’s a RSS feed update or a new affiliate site being set up to scrape our links.
Didn’t see over 1k spike in sales that’s for sure
Maybe it’s a Google bot trawling the pages.
Tremendous increase in linkovers the last few days, but no corresponding increase in sales. That’s a first for me. I’m hoping this is a search engine bot viewing the product pages and creating listings that will result in future sales. Otherwise, could be a denial of service attack that Zazzle IT will have to filter.
Mine doubled and tripled as well. Started 1/24. Also My referrals stopped in Aug and have been trending up corresponding with the spike. So I’ve benefitted some! My shop is usually low traffic but high converting so traffic boosts for me do wonders!
Edit* Also, when I check my google analytics, I’ve seen the same spike in both Google (up 103% in the last 30 days) and YouTube traffic (up 225% in the last 30 days).
Did the spikes in views turn out to be temporary, or has the number of views remained consistently higher afterwards?
Mine have gone bonkers!
60 -70 a day to spikes in excess of 2000. No corresponding increase in sales…yet.![]()
According to my linkover history, I’m still experiencing a spike
WOW, 😲 how did you do so much? my link-over is pathetic low, like 2 per day or something, it’s useless. give up sharing now.
This is still going on…abnormally high linkovers and, for me, historically low sales.
Does anyone at Zazzle want to chime in on this? This is supposed to be one of the tools we use to monitor our stores’ performance.
Mine started 1/22/25, into triple digits, then in 2 days went to 4 digits. I thought I had gotten something started. Drats!!! It wasn’t me, because I’ve been poking around trying to generate traffic in a different way, and it won’t pick up again. Mine fell back to triple digits on 2/5/25, rose up to 4 for the very next day, then it’s been pittering down under 3 ever since, falling like a waterfall. I’d love to know what’s going on. Is it the economy? I wish we had better analytics here to help us figure these kinds of things out.
