Suspicious activity on my account
4 single invites ordered (identical) by 4 different people , different names, locations, same invite.
Any ideas what the motivation here would be?
Can these orders be cancelled? I think I should report this
EDIT: I have now found another 9 of these! All same day, 1 invite, same invite.
Wonder if it’s a stolen credit card & someone is testing out the card with small purchases?
The way I understand it is that the name/location shown in our report is the address an order shipped to so it’s not necessarily the same person as the buyer. So even if not likely it is possible one bride-to-be ordered 15 invites and had them sent direct to her bridal party or friends/family whoever for feedback/review help in deciding if they’re “the one”. Or maybe a smart “low budget bride” w/ Zazzle Black thought she could save on the cost of shipping & envelopes by having her actual invites sent directly to the invitees from Zazzle. I’ve bought gifts and had them shipped directly to recipient using Zazzle Black w/ no problems.
I’d guess that it was definitely one person who ordered all 15, but if it was someone testing stolen CC#s, why would they bother customizing them all and making up 15 different fake addresses to send to?

Makes a lot more sense than my response, but then again, who knows what goes through the minds of some people? 😂

Wow! I never would have thought of that - using Zazzle Black as an alternative to mailing invitations yourself, but it’s a very interesting idea. I mean it is gaming the system because that’s not what Zazzle Black is designed for, and it wouldn’t be the most elegant delivery method, but it would work. Hmm…

YES, this did occur to me and I am hoping this is what it is. I wasn’t certain the address on our records related to shipped location. But if that is what it is… what a great way to save on postage especially if they have Zazzle black!
I agree unlikely stolen CC transaction, too much effort is involved. I think I will accept the alternative you suggested and chill out!

I don’t think being ‘savvy’ should be referred to as ‘gaming the system’ and it is exactly used as intended. FREE postage to customers of Zazzle.
I ordered a sample batch of cards recently and they sent me one in isolation, I assume because they assume it is a card for a gift recipient! Not my choice they post them to me one by one at all!
I think its a bride sending out a sample of the invite she’s considering to bridesmaids or family members.

Well, it’s very interesting. I didn’t necessarily mean to imply that it was doing something wrong - it’s just not how I thought the system was supposed to work. Sooo… when they sent you one card - did it come packaged like a parcel, or was it simply in an envelope as if you were the recipient? I have often thought that Zazzle needed a way for customers to have them ship out cards for them - I’m wondering if this is the solution.

Update re this, convinced now this is part of a scam. I reported my concerns to Zazzle and later had a customer contact me asking why his items were cancelled.
When I asked why they were ordering single invites to send to multiple addresses the answer was:
"I want to check service for future order
duration of delivery, process and quality etc ect"
which makes no sense. And every day there are multiple singles going out, so this is now in the hands of Zazzle investigators.
There is more background on this that I won’t get into, but if you’re also seeing this type of activity report to Zazzle.
