I have two people that I know of (and care quite a bit about) who are actively in the process of dying–and calling to speak with them or visiting them in person is out. I would like to send them sympathy cards to comfort and encourage them.
Please note: the kind of cards that I’m looking for aren’t ‘Get Well’ cards. While I believe in miracles, and I hope and pray for the same for each of them, I also want to exercise tact and discretion.
Messages of hope and faith would be well received by either. They’re both Christian. Thanks. 🌹
Messages that I am particularly looking for would include appropriate Bible verses and thoughts like: “You matter to me” and “you made a difference in my life, and I am grateful.”
I will be needing some condolence cards as well, and I am also happy to share your cards with others.
I am guessing they are people you were involved with who are now married to someone else. So acknowledge his wife and that she is dealing with it also.
Address the card to John and Mary Doe.
On the top of the front of the card put “To Both of You”
On the bottom of the front put “Thinking of You”
Inside say
"May you both find the peace and strength to deal with this challenge.
May the thoughts and prayers (or prayers and support) sent your way comfort you.
Not sure if this fits the bill (just happened to notice it sold today) - it’s more of a heart to heart opener so you could put anything on it I guess.
Sending prayers for your dear friends.
This is a sympathy card. I forgot all about it. If the men are dog lovers, then this would be good. You can always change the poem to read, “Thinking of you”. It is sunlight that came from the window on our dog, Buddy, our late dog.
I wish I had read this first… I just reworked two of my sympathy cards into comfort and encouragement cards… Oh well, they are probably needed and I had never thought about that need before…
